New Thinking Allowed

I enjoyed a lively discussion with Jeffrey Mishlove on September 6, 2018. In it, I describe my journey of how sound helped me to improve my ability to explore within consciousness. My constantly chattering linguistic brain kept me from entering into a calm, meditative state. Binaural beat sound recordings were a favorite and helped facilitate a quieter mind. The heart is another key to connecting with a greater consciousness - generating gratitude from within offers benefits to all.

In a subsequent interview, Dr. Eben Alexander describes the use of ultrasound in medicine and then goes into some detail regarding the effects of the binaural beat effect on the human brain. He also describes some incredible tales of healing associated with near-death experiences. Then, he explains his association with the Sacred Acoustics work of Karen Newell, and how he believes that certain sounds can quiet the brain to the point of opening individuals up to perception of spiritual realms.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

These were totally absorbing interviews! They add information I had not heard before, and such provocative ideas about what is possible right now with sound healing, as well as in the future. Exciting material indeed. Thank you.
