Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan

Bryan Phillips, a scholar of Buddhist meditation and mantra, is author of The Lotus Song: Heart Pulse of Buddhist Tantra, and has taught mindfulness and compassion meditation for more than 15 years. A portion of the proceeds from this production will support preservation of sacred temple frescoes in the Himalayan Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan.

Accompanying brainwave frequencies support theta and delta brainwave states. The underlying tones reflect a prolonged phase in each syllable of the Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum mantra extended throughout the entire recording.

Amongst my favoriate memories is playing in the river below the Taktsang monastery in Paro, Bhutan. I never could dream Id be part of a recording from within the Guru Cave. Om Mane Padme Hung is incanted by Lopen Ugyen Gyurme Tenzin. This is a must have CD for those interested in calm brought on by sound immersion.
